MANAATIKANGA

Hine-Ahu-One Toi is a branch of the Maori Women’s Welfare League

Wendy’s goal in creating this Ropu (branch) is to assist in the establishment of a series of workshops aimed at empowering wahine and Rangatahi through creative processes such as traditional Māori arts and crafts, Te Reo, visual arts, performance, design, technology and entrepreneurship.

Hine-Ahu-One Toi’s Kaupapa is about healing through creativity and inspiring Maori wāhine to live their best lives by providing a safe and supportive environment for them to learn skills that they can take with them on their life journeys.

If you are a Wahine Maori and interested in joining our Hine-Ahu-One Toi whanau, please visit Hine-Ahu-One Toi on FaceBook or register at  Maori Women’s Welfare League.
