Wendy Hannah

Wendy Hannah is a colour and light artist known for her vibrant reflective sculptural forms. Her beacons of light are a celebration of what is possible when an artist has an unbridled love of colour, light and play. She has a firm commitment to bringing modern innovation to time honoured processes.

Drawing inspiration from Maori culture, her X-shaped creations pay homage to the rich heritage of cross-stitch patterns, weaving stories and connections into every piece.

Winner of the Akel prize in the Molly Morpeth Canaday 3D Awards has catapulted her career to a new level. She is working with Botany Town Centre currently with her installation Liberty – Herekoretanga.

Wendy’s design work is blurring the lines of fine art with collaborations with commercial designers globally. New York is her next big project working in digital design using web3 applications. She is interested in how AI use is authenticated in art and what that means going forward globally.
